Students Services

Free Consulatation
To provide you with a customized plan, we

  • Obtain your basic information, including English proficiency, prior schools, academic performance, and interest in majors

  • Conduct an initial assessment put together a portfolio with schools that fit your background

  • Follow up with phone calls and answer questions; explain education policies and detailed information on individual schools in the portfolio, such as school rankings, geographic locations, available majors and minors, and work-and-study opportunities

  • Detail our procedures, contracts and refund policies

  • Assist clients with understanding our service contents and establish contracting relationship

 

If you are a new Chinese student or a college transfer student intending to study in one of our partner colleges and universities in the U.S., we encourage you to consult with us about programs and majors affecting your academic career.

Application
To help you apply for everything necessary to attend your college, we

  • Prepare official student report and make preliminary decisions on school selection

  • Modify or adjust portfolio composition and provide a detailed timeframe

  • Prepare application documents (provided by the student) for the entire portfolio

  • Assist in online application submission and keep a record of every application

  • Monitor progress for each application and communicate with the admission office to ensure a complete portfolio

  • Provide assistance for Financial Aid applications

 

Progress Montitoring
To prepare you for the transition to college, we

  • Acquire a student identification document (such as an I-20) from the admission office after receiving the acceptance notification from the school

  • Communicate with financial aid office for financial aid consideration

  • Conduct formal training on interviews (in English) and provide mock interviews

  • Discuss options with students/parents about final decisions upon acceptance/refusal of admission and meeting all deadlines

  • Assist students in paying study deposit and housing deposits

 

Visa Preparation
To ease the worries of applying for student visas, we

  • Provide visa training for student on individual basis and provides training materials

  • Schedule an appointment for visa interview and set up a timeline for visa training

  • Work with students to fill in visa application form and pay for SEVIS and interview fees

  • Provide complete interview courses for students—students should be fully prepared for visa interviews

 

Pre-Orientation
A quarterly/semester pre-orientation is held at UAE for accepted students before departing China to their schools in the United States. During each pre-orientation, student can receive:

  • UAE consultant's advising

  • Placement test schedule and preparation

  • School regulations and laws for international students

  • Housing arrangement (see below)

  • Travel safety and tips

  • Flight and airport arrangements

 

UAE assists a local home-stay company to arrange students for home stay. We keep up communications between student and home-stay company to ensure student arrives safely. All hosts are screened and interviewed in their homes by our partner home-stay companies prior to placing students.
